About The Position

This position works on 2nd shift, Wed-Sat (Schedule may change due to business needs) 7:15pm - 5:45am. The rate for this position is $16.50 per hour with a shift differential of $1.25 per hour. The role is responsible for palletizing finished goods, ensuring pallets are wrapped for stability and neatness. It also involves loading, unloading, and maintaining material to assigned machine units, and operating assigned equipment safely and efficiently. The position contributes to quality, output, and production goals, and prepares finished products according to USPS standards. A key aspect is demonstrating proficiency through proper recognition of printed address labels on finished products and ensuring finished goods are properly palletized, instructing the Logistics Tech for movement to the finish location. The role requires verifying correct material for the production line, loading and unloading materials into the machine, and performing basic machine setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting. Responding to indicator lights and display screens, clearing jams, and addressing end-of-line machine errors are also part of the duties. The position supports and complies with safety and security policies, including housekeeping standards, and assists with internal and external audits by providing information and performing tasks to ensure compliance. Other duties as assigned, including training and supporting new and existing team members, are also expected.

Requirements

  • Ability to assess obstacles and make minor non-mechanical adjustments to ensure safety and maintenance procedures are followed
  • Ability and knowledge to operate a pallet jack
  • Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language.

Responsibilities

  • Palletizing finished goods and ensuring the pallets are wrapped in a manner that maintains stability and neatness.
  • Loading, unloading, and maintaining material to assigned machine units.
  • Safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment (different types of equipment varying from 227, Alphaliner, and Ferag).
  • Meeting quality, output, and production goals.
  • Preparing all finished products according to established USPS standards.
  • Demonstrating proficiency through the proper recognition of the printed address labels on finished products.
  • Ensuring finished goods are properly palletized, instructing the Logistics Tech to move product to finish location.
  • Verifying correct material for production line, and loading and unloading materials into the machine.
  • Performing basic machine setup (including being able to work the machine interface or machine controls), adjusting machine components, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Responding to the indicator lights and display screens and knowing the actions required to mitigate the issue.
  • Clearing jams and addressing errors on end of line machine components.
  • Supporting and complying with safety and security policies to promote a healthy working environment, including housekeeping standards.
  • Supporting and complying with internal and external audits, to include providing information, performing assigned tasks to ensure compliance, and preparing and maintaining evidence that key duties identified as internal controls have been performed.
