About The Position

The Material Handler position is responsible for loading, unloading, moving, stocking, pulling, and labeling material. This role also involves preparing materials for production or shipment, performing transactions via computer or scanner, and operating a pallet jack or other trained equipment. The position requires the ability to receive feedback, follow instructions, and problem-solve common issues. Additionally, the Material Handler must meet daily production rates, support on-time delivery, and participate in continuous improvement events.

Requirements

• Ability to receive feedback and follow instructions
• Ability to problem-solve effectively for frequent and common issues
• Ability to meet/exceed daily rate set out for material movement
• Ability to support 95% or greater for on-time delivery of set carts
• Ability to evaluate processes and procedures for effective output; participate in Continuous Improvement events
• Regularly required to stand and reach with arms and hands
• Standing for 8 hours and frequent walking required
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, pull, and label material
• Prepare materials for use in production or for shipment to external customers
• Count, weigh, and record all transactions
• Perform required computer and/or scanner transactions
• Operate pallet jack, and/or equipment as trained and required
• Operate and drive machinery
