About The Position

This position is responsible for organizing, supervising and directing the Materials Handling group engaged in receiving, issuing and delivering supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• Exhibit confidence in self and staff.
• Resolve interdepartmental issues, accept feedback and give recognition.
• Use Shop Floor Control, CAD, MRP II, Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word.
• Associates Degree in Manufacturing Technology
• Minimum four years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage, hire, lead, motivate and train the Material Handling Department in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
• Schedule and expedite open material requisitions.
• Follow up on deliveries with the Warehouse, Planning and Purchasing Departments.
• Ensure that receipt and distribution of product occurs in an accurate and timely manner.
• Work with other department personnel, such as Production, Quality and Engineering to rectify defective or unacceptable goods.
• Arrange for disposal of surplus material.
• Ensure personnel comply with departmental policies and procedures to support the manufacturing process.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
