About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is seeking a Material Handler - Shipper / Receiver. This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day flow of materials throughout the facility. Responsibilities include receiving incoming product, organizing and putting away materials, supporting outbound shipments, maintaining inventory organization, and assisting with housekeeping across the shipping and production areas. This role plays an important part in keeping operations organized, efficient, and production-ready on a daily basis. The Mississauga, Ontario site is a central hub for Eaton's electrical sector and is one of six Eaton Satellite locations across Canada. This strategic site is designed to support larger manufacturing facilities and is dedicated to meeting local market requirements, ensuring effective customer service. The site includes functions such as Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Assembly Operations, fostering collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity to drive collective success and employee professional growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling environment
  • Valid forklift license (electric counterbalance), minimum 1 year of experience
  • Grade 12 diploma, GED, or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Must reside within 80 kilometers of the Mississauga, Ontario facility
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain workflow throughout the day
  • Flexibility and willingness to support multiple areas of the operation

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against packing slips and purchase orders
  • Unload, organize, stage, and store incoming materials in designated locations
  • Support daily shipping activities including packaging, staging, and preparing outbound orders
  • Distribute materials and parts to production areas as required
  • Maintain accurate material movement and inventory records
  • Assist with general housekeeping and organization throughout the shipping floor and warehouse areas
  • Ensure aisles, storage locations, and work areas remain clean, safe, and organized
  • Operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts when required
  • Support inventory accuracy and notify leadership of shortages, damages, or discrepancies
  • Work closely with production, purchasing, and supply chain teams to support daily operational requirements
  • Follow all Eaton safety policies and procedures while contributing to a safe and team-oriented work environment
