Russell Hendrix Foodservice Equipment is looking to add a Material Handler / Receiver to our warehouse team in Edmonton. Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in a receiver, or a shipper/receiver role.
  • 2+ experience in a material handler or similar role.
  • Great planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Knowledge of safe lifting and handling techniques, able to safely carry, lift, move (independently or assisted, where appropriate) product/supplies in excess of 50lbs.
  • Technologically capable, easily able to learn new programs.
  • Highly collaborative and team-oriented.
  • Comfortable with giving and receiving feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required.
  • Sort and distribute incoming shipments.
  • Perform quality audits of the condition of shipped goods for outgoing items prior to signing off.
  • Problem-solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of the warehouse and loading area.
  • Load, unload and move products and materials to designated locations in the warehouse by hand or equipment.
  • Assist in picking and placing orders.
  • Check received orders and confirm that all inventory transactions are completed and documented.
  • Pick orders and prepare them for shipping, including stacking, wrapping, packing and crating products.
  • Perform other handling duties such as: counting, weighing, and sorting.
  • Contribute to a healthy and safe workplace.
  • Other duties as assigned.
