Material Handler/Plant Laborer - 1st Shift
About The Position
The Wilmington Group is seeking a full-time Plant Laborer for its Haw River, North Carolina plant. This role supports plant operations safely and effectively while maintaining the production floor. The hourly rate is based on experience. The stated shift hours are Monday through Friday, 12 PM–9 PM, with extended hours as needed. The work takes place in a plant environment and may involve hot or cold conditions, outdoor exposure to weather, and moderate to loud noise. The position requires frequent material handling, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of experience in an industrial environment.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain high safety awareness.
- Handle confidential information with a high degree of integrity.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate equipment properly and safely.
- Strict adherence to OSHA and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual material separation for processing.
- Remove non-compliant materials during sorting.
- Handle and store incoming materials in the appropriate plant area.
- Perform general housekeeping inside and outside the building.
- Report equipment issues to a supervisor or maintenance staff.
- Support plant operations safely and effectively while maintaining the production floor.
