About The Position

Crescent GE Material Handlers handle materials safely and efficiently across receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes. Material Handlers follow company procedures and applicable standards, maintain accurate inventory and organized work areas, meet production and quality goals, and communicate and collaborate with coworkers and leadership. The role requires adapting to changing operational priorities and volumes, contributing ideas, and providing reliable, ethical, customer-focused work.

Requirements

High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to work well with others.
Basic math skills.
Dependable and reliable.
Data-entry skills.
Ability to adapt to continuous changes in priorities, volumes, and staffing requirements.
Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform repetitive motions, including typing, for several hours.
Ability to walk on concrete floors for extended periods and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
At least 18 years of age and able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without accommodation.
Must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S. on an unrestricted basis.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of prior material handling and/or warehousing experience.
Previous forklift operating experience and/or a current forklift license.

Responsibilities

Handle materials safely and efficiently during receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
Read and follow the Crescent Safety Playbook, OSHA, ISO, company standards, SQF and GMP requirements, and applicable Job Safety Analysis guidance.
Maintain a safe work environment, identify and remove risks, and accurately report safety, quality, near-miss, accident, mistake, and product-damage incidents according to process.
Pack, sort, and stack products throughout the shift; review completed tasks for accuracy and completion.
Work at a pace that achieves production and quality goals, ensuring receiving, picking, packing, and shipping are accurate.
Use tools and equipment to maximize output, including scales, RF guns, auto-baggers, IT systems, customer systems, RF scanners, and the WMS system.
Keep bins, work areas, and stations orderly, organized, and free of trash; maintain inventory accuracy.
Provide feedback to management regarding errors and take responsibility for production accuracy.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with coworkers, leadership, and internal customers; contribute to teamwork and customer satisfaction.
Follow leadership goals and requests, cooperate with new ideas, and adapt to operational needs and changing priorities.
Align and optimize the allocation of people to meet production targets and balance immediate and long-term priorities.
Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality, complete assigned work, and follow workplace rules and the code of conduct.
Perform other duties as assigned.
