About The Position

As the Material Handler / Parts Picker, you will help manage the flow of goods by unloading shipments and organizing materials in designated storage areas. Additionally, you will also load outgoing shipments onto trucks, inspect materials for damage or defects, and report any issues. You will be in close communication with various departments within the organization. Tigercat strives to create a respectful, accessible, and inclusive work environment. Requirements

  • Physical requirements include driving (90%), standing, and climbing

  • Previous experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pump carts, and walkies

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of MRP/ERP systems are an asset
  • Prior experience in warehousing or logistics an asset

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently move raw materials and finished products between departments, maintaining the flow of production
  • Perform daily inspection of material handling equipment (eg, forklift, walkie), and report any minor or major damage to the equipment
  • Organize and maintain 5S in storage areas both within the plant and outside
  • Review paperwork to locate parts and transport them to departments throughout the plant
  • Follow written directions and interpret schedules, shipping documents, and drawings
  • Communicate with project managers and supervisors to understand production schedules
