About The Position

This role involves loading and unloading parts or materials, examining documents for storage destination, pulling stored materials to production or shipping areas, and documenting information related to part numbers, counts, and storage locations. The position also includes packaging and labeling materials according to specifications, performing inventory counts, and working with moderate supervision. The material handler is expected to be proficient in pulling and distributing parts, completing daily tasks quickly and efficiently while adhering to quality and safety standards. This role requires collaboration with Purchasing and other departments to ensure accurate and timely execution of work processes. The position also involves driving and performing vehicle safety checks.

Requirements

Ability to understand and adhere to company safety rules and regulations
Ability to follow the procedures, techniques, tools and processes appropriate to material handling
Excellent time management skills, maintain regular contact with site on route status, delays, or potential hazards
Good math skills, verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of ERP systems
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, drive, and lift up to 50 lbs
2-3 years of material handling and outside processing or related experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver's License and clean driving record (no recent moving violations or accidents)
In-depth knowledge of road, safety and driving laws

Responsibilities

Load and unload parts or materials from delivery vehicles
Examine documents for storage destination
Pull stored materials and move to production or shipping area
Document information relating to part numbers, counts, storage locations
Package and label materials according to specifications
Perform inventory counts as requested
Work with moderate supervision
Proficient in pulling and distributing of parts
Completing daily tasked quickly, efficiently and adhering to Quality and Safety standards
Works at computer, with printer and has knowledge of MS Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel
Collaborates with Purchasing and other departments to ensure accurate and timely execution of work processes
Perform vehicle safety check as per company SOP and report any and all vehicle defect, mechanical issues, or accidents immediately to management
