Material Handler - Outside Processing and Driver

About The Position

This position involves handling materials for outside processing and acting as a driver. Key responsibilities include loading and unloading parts from delivery vehicles, managing storage destinations, moving materials to production or shipping areas, and documenting inventory information. The role also requires packaging and labeling materials according to specifications, performing inventory counts, and collaborating with Purchasing and other departments to ensure efficient work processes. The individual will work with moderate supervision, adhere to quality and safety standards, and utilize computer software such as MS Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand and adhere to company safety rules and regulations
  • Ability to follow the procedures, techniques, tools and processes appropriate to material handling
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Maintain regular contact with site on route status, delays, or potential hazards
  • Good math skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, drive, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • 2-3 years of material handling and outside processing or related experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record (no recent moving violations or accidents)
  • In-depth knowledge of road, safety and driving laws
  • Ability to perform vehicle safety check as per company SOP and report any and all vehicle defect, mechanical issues, or accidents immediately to management

  • Completing daily tasked quickly, efficiently and adhering to Quality and Safety standards
  • Works at computer, with printer and has knowledge of MS Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel
  • Collaborates with Purchasing and other departments to ensure accurate and timely execution of work processes
