The Lead Material Handler is primarily responsible for conducting training and overseeing the completion of stockroom duty tasks. This includes but is not limited to receiving, stocking and tracking both incoming and inventory consumables/raw materials as well as conducting inventory counts and reviewing documentation to maintain up-to-date records / documentation for consumables and the sterilization of devices. The Lead Material Handler is also responsible for the packaging and shipping of finished devices for outside sterilization services as well as working with other departments to prioritize devices for sterilization shipments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4-6 years Manufacturing/Warehouse experience
  • Satisfactory Performance reviews (applicable to current Integra employees)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proven ability to consistently and independently follow policies and procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of GMP and ISO
  • Fully trained in all area job tasks and can complete without supervision both hands on and within ERP system
  • Proven ability to train staff properly and effectively
  • Ability to track inventory usage trends to keep sufficient inventory of consumables on hand
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot job task issues effectively
  • Analyze material status current inventory and usage and present shortages to management
  • Ability to work in a changing environment with changing priorities
  • Have and maintain Forklift operator certification
  • Knowledge in 6S or lean manufacturing processing

Responsibilities

  • Analyze material status and present shortages to management in emails or meetings
  • Participate in production schedule meetings
  • Work with cross-functional departments to ensure order planning and fulfillment
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory records by performing inventory cycle counts
  • Use ERP system to receive incoming inventory per area SOPs
  • Use ERP System to process and transfer inventory to production per area SOPs
  • Use ERP system to update on hand inventory when necessary
  • Prepare shipments of devices for outside sterilization services per area SOP
  • Ensure packaging, documentation and transportation requirements for sterilization shipments are met
  • Directing Materials Associates work duties throughout the day as needed
  • Train staff in all warehouse functions properly and effectively
  • Prioritize sterilization shipments following schedule supplied during production schedule meetings
  • Monitor progress of weekly sterilization shipment schedule
  • Work with cross-functional departments to ensure sterilization shipment schedules are met
  • Assist with other warehouse related tasks as needed
