About The Position

Under limited supervision, handles and maintains the flow of materials and products on the premises according to established guidelines. Physically handles materials used to construct components and finished products to optimize movement, including lifting, carrying, and stacking items as needed. Records the movement of incoming and outgoing materials and verifies the accuracy of work performed by self and other material handlers. Operates motorized and non-motorized material-handling equipment, some of which may require specialized training. Plans and assigns work tasks to Material Handlers to meet production goals and trains employees in required tasks, including handling techniques, machinery use, and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), and four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and, on occasion, up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to perform tasks that may involve climbing, lifting, pushing, or kneeling.
