About The Position

Imperial Supplies, a Grainger Company, is hiring a full-time Material Handler III at its Janesville, Wisconsin Distribution Center. The position works 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with no weekends or holidays. The role packages inbound materials, including assembling assortment kits, and uses packaging systems and equipment. It also documents packaging activity, picks orders using powered industrial equipment, handles cart put-away and picking restock, assists with inventory cycle counts, and partners with Quality Control to ensure only authorized, quality goods are packed into stock.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One year of general knowledge of distribution or manufacturing operations.
• Average math skills.
• Effective reading and writing skills.
• Problem-solving ability and attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to spend most of the time standing and walking in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Package inbound material, including assembling assortment kits.
• Use package labeling systems and printers, automated packaging equipment, scales, tape guns, a mechanical stapler, and shrink-wrapping equipment.
• Document packaging activity using radio frequency scanners and keyboard data entry.
• Pick orders using powered industrial equipment.
• Conduct cart put-away and restock picking.
• Assist with inventory cycle counts using powered industrial equipment.
• Partner with Quality Control personnel to ensure only authorized, quality goods are packed into stock.
