Material Handler II
About The Position
Imperial Supplies, a Grainger Company, is hiring a full-time Material Handler II at its onsite distribution center in Janesville, Wisconsin. The role involves safely and accurately picking orders and cycle counting with powered industrial equipment, as well as checking and boxing picked products. Duties also include packaging inbound material, documenting packaging activity, maintaining packaging supplies, putting away carts, restocking, and assisting with inventory counting. The position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekends or holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- One year of general knowledge of distribution or manufacturing operations.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to spend most of the work time standing and walking in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely and accurately pick orders using powered industrial equipment.
- Perform cycle counting and assist with inventory counting.
- Check and box picked products.
- Package inbound material using a package labeling system and printers, automated packaging equipment, scales, tape guns, a mechanical stapler, and shrink wrapping.
- Document packaging activity using radio frequency scanners and keyboard data entry.
- Maintain the stock of packaging supplies at packaging stations.
- Perform cart put-away using powered industrial equipment.
- Restock and pick using powered industrial equipment.
