About The Position

This role of the Material Handler II will have an emphasis on the receiving, picking and put away of all inventory. As a level two, this individual applies acquired job skills and company procedures to complete assigned tasks. This position is part of Evident Inspection Technologies division, which delivers solutions to complex challenges by inspecting mission-critical assets and infrastructure. The division leverages nondestructive testing, remote visual inspection, and analytical instruments to support maintenance, manufacturing, and environmental applications. This Material Handler II position is based onsite in Waltham, MA.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-3 years working in a stockroom or shipping/receiving environment
High School Diploma required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
Attentiveness to detail is a must
Must be able to climb up and down a ladder
Computer Skills: All Microsoft Applications
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Self-Motivated
Must be a U.S. Person

Nice To Haves

Functional knowledge of MRP systems preferred
Experience working with Microsoft Office applications preferred
Accomplished “lead-by-example” tactical change agent with strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders, invoices and work orders.
Maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
Prepares kitting packages for assembly production.
Cycle count inventory to ensure accuracy. Uses root cause analysis to resolve discrepancies.
