About The Position

Goodwill INDUSTRIES OF Southwest Florida, INC. is seeking a Material Handler II. This is a full-time position based at the Tice Opportunity Center in Fort Myers, Florida. Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
One to two years of experience in warehouse operations.
One to two years of experience loading 53', 48' containers and box trucks.
One year of supervisory experience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word).
Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side, lean, kneel, or bend.
Ability to lift forty (40) pounds.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Nice To Haves

Previous forklift experience desired.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to stores, administration, and all vendors/donors.
Move raw donated materials, salvage commodities/sorts, trash, equipment/fixtures, or other designated materials on and off trucks.
Sort materials properly into designated locations within the plant using the Kaizen system.
Ensure full compliance with Kaizen guidelines/principles as outlined in the audit and 5-minute drills.
Assist in all areas of the salvage sorting process.
Cross-train to cover other specified job descriptions within the plant as needed.
Lead areas of operation and provide assignments for Material Handler I's.
