Material Handler I (2nd Shift)

About The Position

Supports Operations by moving and stocking materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The overtime schedule is Monday through Saturday, 2:30 PM to 12:00 AM. Pay is $16.25 per hour. Employees are expected and encouraged to participate in safety and health program activities, including immediately reporting hazards, unsafe work practices, and incidents to supervisors; wearing required personal protective equipment; and participating in and supporting safety committee activities. Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be forklift operation certified.
Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker, and Drexel.
Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.
Functional vision and hearing required.
Able to lift up to 70 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with part numbering systems.

Responsibilities

Use a hand scanner.
Pick up incoming materials from the Receiving dock.
Unload and put away stock in the Bulk storage area.
Provide replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner.
Pull and stock the correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations.
Transfer finished products to designated areas.
Stack empty skids and pallets in designated areas.
Operate a manual and/or motorized pallet jack.
Use knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems and report other problems to the manager.
Participate in safety and health program activities, including reporting hazards, unsafe work practices, and incidents; wearing required personal protective equipment; and supporting safety committee activities.
