About The Position

Imperial Supplies, a Grainger Company, is a national distributor of quality maintenance products serving the fleet maintenance industry since 1958. This is a full-time position at their Salisbury, North Carolina distribution center, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role involves performing safe and accurate manual packaging of product, putting away product, and picking orders while meeting defined production standards within the Distribution Center. Responsibilities include packaging inbound material, assembling assortment kits, using a package labeling system and printers, automated packaging equipment, scales, tape guns, mechanical staplers, and shrink wrapping. Employees will document packaging activity using radio frequency scanners and keyboard data entry. Order picking will be done on the floor level of the warehouse using non-powered industrial equipment. Other duties include cart put away, restocking, and assisting with inventory cycle counts.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED equivalent
• One year of general knowledge of distribution/ manufacturing operations
• Average math skills
• Effective reading & writing skills
• Problem solving ability
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to spend most of the time standing and walking in a warehouse environment
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
