About The Position

The Material Handler I operates forklifts and cherry pickers to unload materials and merchandise from incoming trucks and pick products for shipment. The role includes accurate order picking, weighing, checking, packing, and inventory support. The employee maintains warehouse supplies and an orderly, safe work area in a non-climate-controlled warehouse. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Requirements

Certified to operate forklifts and cherry pickers.
Strong English communication skills, including reading, writing, and verbal interactions, to comply with safety protocols and operational procedures.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
At least one year of related job experience preferred.
RF handheld experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and cherry pickers to unload incoming materials and merchandise and pick products for shipment.
Accurately pick parts throughout the warehouse.
Weigh products using the proper scales.
Check part numbers and quantities accurately.
Pack orders into shipping cartons and verify that all components are included for the correct customer.
Read customer order notes and fulfill special customer requirements.
Maintain stock of warehouse and shipping supplies.
Assist with physical inventory counts and perform inventory audits as needed.
Notify the Department Lead or Department Supervisor of stock shelf issues.
Report defective materials or products, shortages, and questionable conditions to the Lead or Supervisor.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness and orderliness.
Follow all safety rules.
Perform other duties as assigned.
