Hypertherm Associates is seeking a Material Handler I for their 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 5:30 am - 2 pm, in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-4 years of experience in a production environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and strong time management skills
  • Good Computer skills for Oracle transactions
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (focus on Excel)

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to be certified as a fork truck operator
  • Experience with Oracle transactions
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Thorough understanding of Lean concepts
  • Current fork truck license

Responsibilities

  • Handles and refills assembly materials (e.g. raw materials, bins, reusable packaging, packing materials, etc.), ensures materials are delivered in quality condition, correct quantities, and in a timely manner that supports 5S and Lean processes and promotes on-time delivery of quality HT products.
  • Transfers finished goods between cells and monitors and maintains appropriate inventory levels in production areas, supporting the continuous, uninterrupted value stream flow and optimizing assembler productivity.
  • Performs designated manufacturing processes (e.g. bin breakdown, finished goods packaging, etc.) using pre-existing documentation, such as team procedures, standard work, quality expectations for on-time delivery of products.
  • Participates in process improvement activities and applies lean principles in daily work; supports 5S initiatives, ensuring cell/area cleanliness to support the manufacturing of the highest priority parts to meet C/customer demand.
  • Perform inventory transactions, on pitch.
  • Perform daily cycle counts and scanning audits to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Other duties as assigned (may include assembly or other needed production support activities).
