About The Position

The Material Handler will receive shipments, ensure that all inventory is properly placed and stored within the pharmacy. The Material Handler will work closely with the inventory support team and follow all best practices for pharmacy operations. Shifts Saturday - Tuesday 9am-7:30pm, Monday - Friday 11am to 7:30pm. Training schedule: Monday - Friday 9:30am - 6pm for approximately 2 weeks.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once
Ability to communicate effectively, patiently and courteously
Focused team player, who can work in conjunction with pharmacists, other departments, customers, and leader
Ability to lift 30lbs
Work independently with little supervision and meet daily deadlines
Ability to perform repetitious work accurately

Nice To Haves

Previous inventory experience preferred
Previous pharmacy experience preferred

Responsibilities

Receiving of Pharmaceutical Inventory from all wholesalers
Validating all Pharmaceutical Inventory receipts to the invoice, either electronically or manually.
Stock medications according to FEFO inventory system
Assist with inventory audits to eliminate expired drugs in inventory
Assist with all Physical Inventories
Provide support to the Inventory Department
Assist with general clerical duties and filing
Respect and maintain confidentiality guidelines of HIPAA
Follow and aid in enforcement of all company policies and procedures
Responsible for other duties assigned
