Requirements

  • Forklift driving experience (essential)
  • Valid forklift training
  • Ability to plan and organize work in accordance with deadlines
  • Excellent work organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation of raw materials according to the scheduling established by the team leader.
  • Update the “Factory track” tool for any stock movements or inventory errors (e.g. negatives).
  • Communicate any inventory inaccuracies to the Team Leader.
  • Ensure that all machines/work cells have a continuous flow of raw materials to avoid shortages.
  • Ensure that all workstations have sufficient material for palletizing finished parts (wood pallets, foam, cardboard, boxes, packaging containers, etc.).
  • Empty internal scrap, cardboard, plastic and wood bins in the appropriate places.
  • When handler intervention is necessary, support the disposal of defective parts from all departments.
  • Operate forklifts, manual or electric pallet trucks and overhead cranes to move materials, taking into account the safety of self and environment; inspect and maintain on a daily basis.
  • Attend training courses to ensure qualifications are maintained, and may be required to train other members of staff.
  • Support the supply chain team in all other inventory-related initiatives.
  • If applicable, support the “Coordinator and Material Receiving” in these tasks when required or in case of absence.
  • All other related tasks are considered part of the role and may be assigned as needed.
