About The Position

The Material Handler - Forklift supports the efficient flow of materials and finished goods throughout the facility. The role is responsible for accurate receiving, inventory management, material delivery, and documentation while following company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements. Working with manufacturing and supply chain teams, the Material Handler helps prevent material shortages, maintain inventory accuracy, coordinate materials, and support continuous operations. The position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to operate forklift equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work the first-shift schedule with mandatory overtime as needed.
• Previous experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory control processes.

Responsibilities

• Follow company, departmental, quality, and safety policies and procedures.
• Ship customer orders, including scanning labels, loading trucks, completing shipping documentation, and completing ASNs.
• Receive incoming materials from suppliers and shuttles; stock flow racks and process UPS/FedEx deliveries.
• Supply production lines by loading and delivering materials via tugger carts and forklifts, ensuring there are no material shortages.
• Unload finished goods from production lines and maintain correct inventory locations using FIFO practices.
• Process inventory transactions and shipping documents, including packing lists, BOLs, and MFG Pro receipts.
• Support cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and electronic and paper file maintenance.
• Complete service orders and service boxes, and coordinate packaging material requirements.
• Prepare, band, and package finished goods and components for shipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, including waste disposal and recycling activities.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve shipping, delivery, and inventory issues.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
