About The Position

Avery Dennison is hiring a Material Handler to support its Operations Team in keeping production moving smoothly. The role involves moving physical inventory, handling trailer and freight activity, and maintaining digital inventory records to support site operations. The position is onsite in Painesville, Ohio, and works 11:20 PM–7:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday. Starting pay is $22.47 per hour, plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong mathematical and technical aptitude.
Proficiency in computer data entry and ERP systems.
Ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing warehouse priorities.
Strong team orientation and clear communication skills.
Commitment to safety rules, SOP guidelines, and zero-defect inventory quality.
Willingness to work overtime as needed to support customer demand.

Nice To Haves

MFG Pro experience.
Three or more years of experience in material handling, shipping and receiving, or warehouse logistics.
Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement principles, including ELS or 5S.

Responsibilities

Safely transport raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods between receiving, storage, and production areas.
Safely load and unload trucks and tankers, and verify shipments against shipping and receiving paperwork.
Perform digital inventory transactions using MFG Pro or ERP systems, conduct physical cycle counts, and resolve stock discrepancies.
Maintain 5S housekeeping standards, promote safe work practices, and support facility recycling efforts.
Communicate shift updates, assist cross-functional teams, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
