About The Position

The Warehouse Material Handler/Forklift Operator/CDL driver is responsible to Pick loads, load trailers, stage product for pickup, pull product, move product with lift truck/turret truck within the warehouse. Drive yard trucks and over-over-the road semi-tractor trailer trucks between warehouse locations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • CDL License required.
  • Minimum 1 year overl-the-road experience.
  • Six months in a shipping / warehouse environment
  • Understand methods of shipping/loading requirements, weight requirements, and customers’ special instructions
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Good math skills a plus

Responsibilities

  • Moves product from staging area to designated area within the warehouse
  • Drives lift truck/turret trucks or yard trailers trucks as required
  • Maintains row tags for material staged on the floor
  • Works overtime when required
  • Operates the forklift to move materials to the lines as needed
  • Inspects all pallets for accuracy in regards to weight and correct
  • Loads racks in warehouse with finished goods.
  • Maintains proper housekeeping while performing duties
  • Required to assist wherever needed
  • Responsible for operating the forklift in a safe manner at all times
  • Performs safety check before using forklift or truck each shift
  • Adheres to Attendance guidelines
  • Follows all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines
  • Takes reasonable care for their own health and safety.
  • Takes reasonable care for the health and safety of others.
  • Authorized to stop work when a perceived unsafe condition or behavior may result in an unwanted event
  • Understands and actively participates in the company’s EHS policy, goals, and objectives
