About The Position

Sheridan Liberty is hiring a Bindery Material Handler to keep production moving by stocking and organizing finishing equipment. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position, and on-the-job training is provided. The posting gives conflicting shift information: the introduction lists 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, while the opportunity section describes 3rd shift, Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. It also states that overtime and occasional weekends are required.

Requirements

Know basic warehouse layouts and identify item codes.
Be able to feed, stock, move, jog, and rotate production items.
Be able to use stock description forms and manual handling tools such as dollies, carts, hand trucks, and strapping tools.
Be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend and twist, and lift up to 20 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs frequently.
Be able to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience.
Familiarity with industrial safety standards or bindery and production machinery.

Responsibilities

Read work orders, identify required materials, and feed or pile down products at equipment.
Jog products off the counter stacker and stack them neatly on skids for departmental transfers.
Separate signatures, count or weigh materials, and record data on daily production sheets.
Complete skid flags and packing slips, install strapping and bracing, and attach identifying tags to secure materials for transit.
Stack materials into bundles and secure them with banding equipment.
Occasionally operate automated machinery, industrial trucks, or hoists.
