About The Position

This role serves as a backup for the primary CDL-A driver when they are unavailable. The Material Handler is responsible for various inventory transactions using a barcode scanner and/or computer system, including locating material, performing cycle counts, and pulling material. Accurate and legible completion of all required paperwork is essential. The role involves loading, unloading, and relocating material as needed to meet Inventory, Production, Shipping, and Quality Control requirements. Additionally, the Material Handler will complete other duties as assigned by their supervisor, operate dock and warehouse equipment, and report any identified issues. This position also involves complying with the receiving of various materials, verifying, identifying, and inspecting incoming items, and managing warehousing to maximize space utilization. The Material Handler will also troubleshoot material problems such as inventory discrepancies, freight damage, contamination, packaging, or handling issues.

Requirements

  • Must possess valid Commercial Drivers License.
  • Two years over the road operation of tractor/trailer with CDL (multi-state).
  • Must have no more than one traffic violation and no at fault accidents on driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as backup for CDL-A driver when primary driver is out
  • Responsible for various inventory transactions using barcode scanner and/or computer system including locating material, cycle counting, and pulling material
  • Accurate and legible completion of all required paperwork.
  • Load/Unload/Relocate material as needed per Inventory/Production/Shipping/Quality Control requirements.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Operate dock and warehouse equipment, correct, or report any issue identified.
  • Comply with receiving of any material (raw materials, packaging materials, office supplies, production supplies, maintenance supplies and others).
  • Verify, identify, and inspect a variety of incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods from operations.
  • Warehousing (moving product to maximize usage of warehouse space)
  • Trouble shoot any material problems including inventory discrepancies, freight damage, contamination, packaging, or handling issues.
