About The Position

Performs tasks associated with the order filling and/or over-packing of BD products for customer orders. Must be able to operate manual hand jacks or battery powered hand jacks to assist with order filling. Effectively works in a team setting, supporting team goals and objectives. Works on assignments that are routine in nature following all BD Distribution Center procedures. Must have the ability to recognize when deviation from an accepted practice may be required. Ability to work independently as required. May receive general supervision with little instruction on routine work. Ability to safely operate required equipment (power hand jacks). Ability to learn and use packaging equipment and RF devices. May be required to work on the DC parcel manifest line, which will require an understanding of the parcel manifest systems. Must be able to work in refrigeration (2-8 Celsius) up to 10 hours per day.

Requirements

Ability to safely operate all required equipment and use packaging equipment, UPS and/or computer systems is required.
Must be able to pay continuous attention to detailed operations requiring some diversification in approach to fairly routine processes.
Lifting or moving of 5-25 lbs. continuously, 25-60 lbs. frequently, is required.
Forklift license required OR ability to obtain license within one month of hire.
Basic proficiency with PCs (Personal Computers) and basic use of a Windows environment is required.
Ability to work independently, as required
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years’ experience required
Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills required.
Must be able to keep detailed record of logs and documents.
Coordination of mental and physical attention of thought, hand, and eye required.

Nice To Haves

2+ years’ experienced preferred
Previous experience preferred but not required.
6-12 months experience preferred.
