Material Flow Technician - 1st Shift

SpaceX•Hawthorne, CA

About The Position

SpaceX is seeking a Material Flow Technician to establish physical processes and configure systems that support new production cells, materials layouts, and continuous improvement. The role applies material-flow principles such as lineside presentation, dense storage, efficient carts and racks, and packaging standards. Technicians implement engineering designs and support production materials operations, with a focus on efficient material handling, inventory accuracy, and safe work areas. The position works first-shift hours, generally 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with overtime and weekends as needed. Schedules may vary according to site operational needs, so flexibility is required. Candidates must be able to work at heights up to 500 feet, in confined spaces, and while using an air-purifying respirator. U.S. export-control eligibility is required, or the ability to obtain the necessary authorizations. Compensation is listed at three levels: Level 1, $22.00–$27.00; Level 2, $27.00–$33.00; and Level 3, $33.00–$40.00. Actual level and base salary are determined case by case based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. The total rewards package may include company stock or long-term cash awards, discretionary bonuses, and an employee stock purchase plan. Benefits include medical, vision, and dental coverage; a 401(k) retirement plan; short- and long-term disability insurance; life insurance; paid parental leave; discounts and other perks; up to three weeks of accrued paid vacation; at least 10 paid holidays per year; and paid sick leave under company policy.
