About The Position

This role supports the T-45 program by performing various activities to ensure the timely delivery, assembly, and distribution of parts. The Material Expediter plays a crucial role in expediting the flow of materials to meet production schedules. This position requires strong collaboration with Planners/Schedulers, Buyers, Quality, Program Management, and Manufacturing personnel. The individual will also perform inventory analysis on high-demand parts to identify candidates for expediting and will communicate directly with suppliers while maintaining coordination with Purchasing Buyers and Management. Additionally, the role involves assisting programs/sites with requests, gathering and verifying data from multiple sources, processing order requests, verifying part numbers, and tracking shipments to provide up-to-date information to sites. The Material Expediter will utilize software to compile, review, and analyze data for reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence, and presentations, and will provide information on functional unit processes and procedures. Other projects and initiatives may also be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Two (2) years related experience
Knowledge in computer use, with experience in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
Two (2) years of experience serving in a similar role – spanning knowledge of purchase orders and buying
Knowledge and experience of working with vendors

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of activities in support of successfully arranging for delivery, assembly and distribution of parts in order to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.
Performs Inventory Analysis on high demand parts, targeting those assets as candidates to expedite.
Communicates directly with suppliers, while maintaining respectful linkage to Purchasing Buyers and Management.
Assists program / sites with requests for assistance.
Gathers, collects, records, tracks and verifies data and information from multiple sources.
Processes order requests and verifies part numbers.
Tracks shipments from carriers to ensure the sites have up-to-date information on the movement of their parts.
Uses software for functional area to compile, review and analyze data to generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations.
Provides data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures.
Other projects and initiatives as assigned.
