About The Position

Performs limited aspects of technical supply management work, including inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization related to depot, local, or other supply activities. This role typically involves segregated commodity areas or functions with controlled difficulty and scope, focusing on individual case problems or supply actions. The Material Coordinator will build and maintain a working knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, and established guidelines, while also understanding the needs of the organization serviced. Analytical abilities are required to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and recommend actions based on established guidelines. All other position-related duties as assigned or requested are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of material/supply functions, either in the military services or in commercial applications.
  • Knowledgeable of governing supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines.
  • Ability to work in GSS-Army.
  • Must have or be able to obtain licenses/certifications as needed to perform duties.
  • Must have a valid and current state driver's license.
  • Must be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
  • Must be able to complete paperwork associated with the position as required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, complex environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to read and understand Technical Manuals, Technical Bulletins, Army Regulations and Department of the Army Pamphlets.
  • Ability to manipulate and use hand tools and hydraulic equipment.
  • Must possess basic computer skills and have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Must have an ability to meet physical demands and pass any related medical examination requirements required to perform daily assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
  • US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • Passing a pre-employment drug screen and a government background check is required.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a National Agency Check (NAC) within 60 days of hire.
  • Must be available for any shift.
  • Willing to work weekends and other hours as needed.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • Access to the Depot requires all covered individuals to be registered with the United States Selective Service.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and maintains a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
  • Builds and maintains an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced.
  • Utilizes analytical abilities to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Completing all training requirements and fulfilling all self-aid/buddy aid responsibilities, participating in emergency response tasks and serving on safety committees and teams.
  • Conforming to the Amentum Quality Policy and carrying out job activities in compliance with applicable Amentum Quality System documents and customer contracts.
  • Reading and understanding his/her Quality Management and Customer Satisfaction responsibilities.
  • Reading, understanding and implementing the general and specific operational, safety, quality and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures and policies pertaining to his/her job.
