About The Position

The Material Coordinator coordinates and expedites the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities. In this role, the Material Coordinator reviews production schedules and confers with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue and to locate material. They requisition material and establish delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material. This position also arranges for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, and with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments. The Material Coordinator examines material delivered to production departments to verify if the type specified. This worker may monitor and control the movement of material and parts along a conveyor system using a remote-control panel board, compute the amount of material needed for specific job orders by applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes and using an adding machine, and compile a report of the quantity and type of material on hand. They move or transport material from one department to another using a hand or industrial truck. This role may also compile perpetual production records to locate material in process of production using a manual or computerized system, and maintain employee records.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • At least 2 years of related work experience preferred.
  • Ability to deal with physical demands to include warehouse environment, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting inventory items up to and at times exceeding 50 pounds with appropriate safety requirements.
  • Must be reliable and responsible with abilities to work independently.
  • Ability to pass a drug and background screening.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
  • Familiar with ITAR, FAR, DFAR regulations.
  • Basic to Intermediate computer skills, specifically using Microsoft Office Suite and Deltek CostPoint, with an ability to learn additional skills and software programs.

Responsibilities

  • Receive Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), kits, and other inventory property.
  • Accurately enter all property into database.
  • Perform material transfers and releases as needed per all company processes and federal regulations.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts, verifying item storage, location, quantity, etc.
  • Responsible for control and accuracy of material and records using both manual and electronics inventory control system.
  • Oversee physical inventory annually.
  • Enter data accurately into databases.
  • Follow processes.
  • Perform basic mathematical computations.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to Yulista’s goals.
  • Evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas.
  • Multi-task and perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Draw conclusions and justify decisions.
  • Work with TCMax, TMI Portal, CostPoint and Cognos.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts.
