About The Position

The Material Control position involves a wide range of responsibilities within a warehouse and inventory operations environment. This role requires responsiveness, energy, and the ability to work long hours while maintaining a high pace. While specific equipment training is provided, the candidate must also be diligent in self-learning. Collaboration with production support and site management is key to enhancing efficiency and productivity. The job demands knowledge, skills, commitment, and strong qualifications, with routine urgency and pressure for prompt, accurate results. Multi-tasking, managing interruptions, and regular attendance are essential. This role is demanding and requires flexibility to support an expanding service business.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Unloading trucks (UPS, FedEx, Motor Freight)
  • Palletizing and boxing equipment for shipment
  • Banding, strapping, and plastic wrapping shipments
  • Pulling inventory items required by shop techs for assembly or direct shipment
  • Placing and maintaining inventory items in their proper place in the warehouse
  • Using a computer terminal to interface with order entry/order processing systems
  • Operating a forklift
  • Tagging all received items
  • Placing received items in staging, will call, or shop order areas
  • Loading all shipping items onto freight or dedicated trucks
  • Performing inventory cycle counts
  • Tagging and staging NCR (Non-Conformance Report) items
  • Retrieving and sorting pick tickets from the printer
  • Receiving all POs into NAV (Navision) after verifying correct material received
  • Verifying materials needed for Production jobs have been sourced
  • Arranging for stock transfers of product needed for Production Jobs
  • Receiving stock transfers from other branches into NAV
  • Investigating discrepancies on receiving and creating NCRs to follow up with Vendors
  • Collaborating with production support and site management daily to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Actively participating in company Safety Committee Meetings and communicating key points to the Technical team
  • Adjusting daily tasks to effectively support the expanding service business
