About The Position

Jim Taylor Auto Group is hiring factory Master-level technicians for its Monroe (Buick GMC), Ruston (Ford Lincoln), and Rayville (Chevrolet) stores. The role is for technicians with current GM Master / World Class or Ford Senior Master certification. Technicians receive drivability, electrical, and heavy-line work aligned with their certification, with dispatch managed to keep their bays supplied with suitable work. The shops service late-model GM and Ford vehicles and have a healthy mix of warranty and customer-pay work. Pay is $50–$55 per flag hour, depending on certification level. For the first 90 days, technicians are guaranteed 40 hours per week at their full rate while learning the shop and building their book. After 90 days, pay is straight flat rate with no cap on flagged hours. The pay plan is provided in writing before the start date. The group is family-owned, has served Northeast Louisiana for more than 20 years, and promotes from within. An assigned mentor supports the first 90 days. Requirements

Current GM Master / World Class or Ford Senior Master factory certification.
At least five years of dealership flat-rate experience.
Comfort working on flat rate and familiarity with flagging hours.
Own tools.
Clean, insurable driving record.
Ability to diagnose vehicle problems rather than throwing parts.

Nice To Haves

ASE Master certification.

Responsibilities

Perform drivability, electrical, and heavy-line diagnostic and repair work.
Diagnose vehicle problems rather than replacing parts without diagnosis.
Complete assigned work correctly and take ownership of work, comebacks, and commitments.
Recommend only the services customers need.
Collaborate with coworkers and treat service staff respectfully.
Flag hours under the flat-rate pay plan after the initial 90-day guarantee.
