About The Position

The Master Scheduler is responsible for coordinating manufacturing requirements to satisfy customer orders for all products produced at the Winona plant, with consideration to quality, cost, and on-time delivery. This role involves scheduling various production processes, communicating with different departments to ensure requirements are met, and providing status updates to plant management, sales, and traffic. The position also requires managing flour inventory and providing backup for finished product reconciliation.

Requirements

  • Broad knowledge of wheat and rye products, plant capabilities, and customer needs.
  • Plant capabilities and product manufacturing knowledge.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in scheduling and operations is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
  • Must have familiarity with most types of modern office equipment including copiers, computers, phones, and fax machines.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables at any given time.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Production/Operations Management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate manufacturing requirements to satisfy customer orders for all products produced at the Winona plant with consideration to quality, cost, and on time delivery.
  • Schedules Packing Production
  • Communicates with various department personnel whose responsibility is to actively produce, monitor quality, and ship to meet customer requirements.
  • Provides information within the organization to plant management, sales, and traffic concerning status of meeting obligations or other issues that would impact customer satisfaction.
  • Schedules Mill Production and Temper.
  • Schedules Mix Plant Production.
  • Communicates with dispatch regarding all truck loads.
  • Schedules for bulk shipment sequencing.
  • Work directly with flour blenders (Head Packers) to manage flour inventory.
  • Back up for finished product reconciliation in warehouse
