About The Position

Merakey is seeking a Master's Level Student Intern to join its clinic-based behavioral health team at the Knights Road location in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The role supports the treatment team by providing therapeutic services, conducting intake assessments, facilitating group therapy, and coordinating care with the clinic director, psychiatrist, and clinical supervisor. The intern engages clients, supports continued participation in treatment, and provides clinically appropriate interventions for people experiencing mild to severe mental health conditions.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an accredited master's-level program in a human service-related field, such as social work, psychology, or clinical counseling.
• Have sufficient weekly availability to meet experiential learning requirements: at least 15 hours per week for practicum, or at least 20 hours per week for Internship I and Internship II.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, couple, and family therapy.
• Conduct intake assessments.
• Facilitate group therapy.
• Coordinate care in collaboration with the clinic director, psychiatrist, and clinical supervisor.
• Engage clients and support their ongoing participation in treatment.
• Deliver clinically appropriate interventions to individuals experiencing mild to severe mental health conditions.
