About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Master's Level Addictions Therapists for its inpatient detox and residential treatment facility in Fort Collins, Colorado. Avenues operates a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers and offers detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services using an evidence-based clinical curriculum and individualized care.

The therapist develops and delivers individualized treatment and therapy for clients, oversees clinical services and aftercare for their caseload, responds to crises, maintains thorough client documentation, and coordinates care with the Clinical Director, treatment team, and families. The role calls for ethical conduct grounded in honesty, accountability, dignity, respect, and recovery principles.

Requirements

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field.
• Valid state licensure or certification to practice in the role, such as LPCC, LPC, LSW, LCSW, CAS, CACIII, or ADDC.
• Excellent observational, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Compassionate, dignified character that models recovery principles.
• Ability to set strong boundaries and maintain absolute confidentiality.

• Experience in mental health, addiction, or co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities

• Create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for each client.
• Conduct individual, group, family, and couple therapy sessions.
• Take responsibility for all clinical needs, services, and aftercare for the assigned client caseload.
• Prevent, intervene, and de-escalate during crises.
• Maintain documentation of client challenges, progress, relapse risk, and interventions.
• Coordinate care with the Clinical Director, treatment team, and family members.
• Model ethics, morality, and recovery principles in professional interactions, including honesty, accountability, dignity, and respect.
