Job Overview & Responsibilities As a Master Production Scheduler at ULA's Decatur, AL, key responsibilities include: Oversees the scheduling of all aspects of a project, including tasks, resources, and deadlines. Prepare schedules for production work and performs and/or assists in schedule analyses such as critical path, schedule margin, and variance analysis, negative float resolution, and schedule integration/risk assessment as desired. Coordinates routinely with engineering on changes, span times, and process flows. Coordinate with other departments and personnel to ensure a smooth and efficient production process. Responsible for scheduling production and meeting deadlines. Develop and deliver periodic and ad hoc reporting and analysis supporting management decision making and performance measurement. Preparing program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled. Resolving issues that could potentially impact schedule adherence. Identifying and implementing process improvements to improve scheduling efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Demonstrated experience with scheduling in a production environment.
Proficiency in the MS Office software suite and the ability to quickly learn other tools.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to communicate with all levels of management.
Analytical and problem solving skills; thinks independently.
Applies conventional approaches to resolve moderately complex problems.

Nice To Haves

Deep knowledge of MRP logic, BOM structures, routings, production lead times, and constraints.
Competence using Excel or other analytical tools for data modeling, scenario planning, and KPI tracking.
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and workflow planning.
Ability to prioritize effectively and manage scheduling conflicts with a structured decision-making approach.
High attention to detail and accuracy in schedule execution.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze root causes of schedule disruptions.
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and operate with a continuous improvement mindset.
Advanced proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Microsoft Project, Dassien).
