Our team is excited to meet you! As a Master Production Scheduler at ULA's Decatur, AL, key responsibilities include:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Demonstrated experience with scheduling in a production environment.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office software suite and the ability to quickly learn other tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills; thinks independently.
  • Applies conventional approaches to resolve moderately complex problems.

Nice To Haves

  • Deep knowledge of MRP logic, BOM structures, routings, production lead times, and constraints.
  • Competence using Excel or other analytical tools for data modeling, scenario planning, and KPI tracking.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and workflow planning.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage scheduling conflicts with a structured decision-making approach.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in schedule execution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze root causes of schedule disruptions.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and operate with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Microsoft Project, Dassien).

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the scheduling of all aspects of a project, including tasks, resources, and deadlines.
  • Prepare schedules for production work and performs and/or assists in schedule analyses such as critical path, schedule margin, and variance analysis, negative float resolution, and schedule integration/risk assessment as desired.
  • Coordinates routinely with engineering on changes, span times, and process flows.
  • Coordinate with other departments and personnel to ensure a smooth and efficient production process.
  • Responsible for scheduling production and meeting deadlines.
  • Develop and deliver periodic and ad hoc reporting and analysis supporting management decision making and performance measurement.
  • Preparing program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled.
  • Resolving issues that could potentially impact schedule adherence.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to improve scheduling efficiency.
