About The Position

Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Greater King of Prussia is seeking experienced Master Plumbers to join their team. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving plumbing issues for homeowners and business owners, with opportunities for skill development and career advancement. The position emphasizes quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and efficiency. The Master Plumber will act as the face of the local Mr. Rooter Plumbing location, interacting with customers, local government, and guiding junior plumbers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of prior professional-level Master Plumbing experience.
  • Must hold a valid Master Plumbers license in PA.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • In-depth knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations as well as national and company plumbing standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with owners, customers, regulatory authorities, and direct reports with respect and dignity.
  • Comfortable with using technology, especially a tablet while in the field.

  • Provide project management oversight as required by PA State and county requirements.
  • Ensure Safety Standards are met by implementing and enforcing safety protocols.
  • Provide an element of quality control by routinely inspecting the work of plumbers and supporting staff to ensure it meets regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Help customers with various plumbing needs, from installations to repairs, including basic fixtures to replacing main lines.
  • Act as the face of the Mr. Rooter Plumbing location, interacting with customers and local government, and providing guidance to interns and journeymen plumbers.
  • Ensure the safety of oneself and others, leaving worksites safer than found.
  • Identify and present opportunities and solutions to customers to ensure the safety of their family and property.
  • Perform basic residential and commercial plumbing repairs and water heater replacements, re-pipes, drain stoppages, sewer line replacements, and other necessary plumbing services.
  • Qualify plumbing work performed by other journeyman plumbers.
  • Register for permits necessary for work performed.
  • Manage and supervise technicians.
  • Provide support to ownership on an as-needed basis.
