Master Personal Trainer

GYMGUYZ Ventura County•Oxnard, CA

About The Position

GYMGUYZ Ventura County is hiring an experienced Master Personal Trainer for a mobile, in-home personal training role serving Ventura County and the Conejo Valley. The trainer travels to clients’ homes and other approved locations to deliver individualized training, conduct fitness assessments, and help prospective clients begin training. The position combines hands-on coaching with client consultations, sales and follow-up, local marketing, business development, administrative work, and support for the trainer team. It is a business-building opportunity and does not begin with a guaranteed, fully booked client schedule; assigned duties and hours depend on scheduling availability, client demand, service locations, and business needs. The role offers the opportunity to build client relationships, work with people of different ages and abilities, mentor trainers, and potentially take on greater leadership and operational responsibilities as the business grows. The position is part-time, with full-time availability preferred, and offers a flexible schedule. Compensation varies by assigned work: $40–$45 per hour for personal, semi-private, group training, and assessments; $30 per hour for community marketing events requiring personal training expertise; and $20 per hour for administrative, general marketing, and business development work. Sales commissions, performance incentives, and mileage and drive time according to current California regulations are also noted. This is not a traditional gym-based position. Regular travel throughout the service territory is essential, and candidates must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the willingness and ability to travel between client locations. The service area extends from Ojai to Agoura Hills and includes Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Westlake Village, Moorpark, and surrounding communities. Applicants who currently live within the service area are highly preferred.
