Master Personal Trainer

GYMGUYZ Ventura County•Moorpark, CA
•$40 - $45•Onsite

About The Position

GYMGUYZ Ventura County is seeking an experienced Master Personal Trainer to deliver personalized training in clients’ homes and other approved locations while helping grow the local business and supporting its trainer team. This mobile position requires regular travel throughout Ventura County and the Conejo Valley, from Ojai to Agoura Hills. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required; candidates who live in the service area are highly preferred. The role combines 1:1 and semi-private training, fitness assessments and consultations, prospective-client follow-up and sales, community outreach, marketing, business development, and administrative responsibilities. It is a business-building opportunity rather than a position with a guaranteed, fully booked client schedule. Actual hours and duties vary with scheduling availability, client demand, service locations, and business needs. As the client base grows, additional training hours and leadership responsibilities may become available. The successful candidate will deliver safe, individualized, results-driven programs; build strong client relationships; guide prospective clients through appropriate training options; contribute to local growth; and mentor and support fellow trainers. The role may expand to include trainer coordination, client transitions and retention, scheduling support, and day-to-day operational responsibilities.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional personal training experience.
  • A nationally recognized personal training certification.
  • Current CPR/AED certification.
  • Strong foundation in exercise programming, functional movement, strength training, and safe exercise modifications.
  • Ability to work with clients of different ages, abilities, and fitness levels and adapt training to individual needs.
  • Experience conducting fitness consultations, recommending training programs, and selling personal training services.
  • Confidence discussing pricing, responding professionally to objections, and supporting informed purchasing decisions.
  • Ability to manage client communication and sales follow-up using phone calls, text messages, scheduling tools, and CRM systems.
  • Strong organization, responsiveness, and follow-through.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness and ability to travel between client locations throughout the service area.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, solve problems thoughtfully, and follow through without constant direction.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in leadership development, business growth, and expanded operational responsibilities.
