About The Position

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Master of Special Inspection (MSI) in our Raleigh, N C office. Primary duties performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.). Some travel is required. The position will be predominately field located.

Requirements

5+ years construction materials testing and inspection experience required
ICC Certifications are required: Structural Welding
Structural Steel and Bolting
Structural Masonry
Reinforced Concrete

Responsibilities

Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
Input results and observations into daily reports
