About The Position

Student will participate in one or more DOE research projects on Neutrino Physics on the Eos Experiment currently located at UC Berkeley. The research focus on using cosmic ray muons to characterize detector response to future neutrino interaction events in the energy range between 10-50 MeV.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
  • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

Nice To Haves

  • Analog and Digital Electronics on breadboard, PCB or FPGAs.
  • High Voltage power system, such as CAEN on both the hardware cabling and software controls.
  • Experience in programing language such as C++ and Python.
  • Experience working in Linux operating systems and in cluster computing.
