Master Mechanic - Heavy Equipment - San Antonio
About The Position
Our mechanic will be assigned to a dedicated concrete paving crew and will be with them full time. The role involves assembling, setting up, adjusting, maintaining, and repairing all types of construction equipment. The mechanic will inspect and diagnose machinery to determine the need for and cost of repairs, and will test and install new or repaired units back into equipment. Minor tune-ups will be performed to ensure efficient and safe operation of the equipment. The position requires familiarity with system controls, operation, and configurations, as well as the transportation of equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two+ years related mechanic experience and/or training
- Mechanic experience with slipform pavers, concrete places, and cure/texture machines
- Ability to read and speak fluent English

- Experience with Gunner & Zimmerman (G&Z) and Gomaco
- Mechanical experience
- Welding experience
- Electrical experience
