Master Mainline Service Technician/Mechanic
About The Position
Mercedes-Benz of Midland, Texas, a Cavender Auto Family dealership, is seeking a Master Mainline Service Technician/Mechanic to perform automotive maintenance and repairs while delivering excellent service to customers and teammates. The technician performs work listed on repair orders, diagnoses and repairs vehicle systems, communicates additional service needs and repair-time estimates to Service Advisors, completes warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications, maintains accurate work records, and keeps the work area safe and orderly. Requirements
- Previous experience as a service technician.
- Strong automotive background.
- Submit to and successfully complete an MVR check, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
- Valid driver's license.

- Manufacturer ASE certifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
- Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional service needs and provide estimates of the time needed for additional repairs.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Perform warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
- Keep the work area clean and orderly and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
