About The Position

Centerstone is a leading nonprofit behavioral health system dedicated to providing life-changing care to individuals of all ages across various settings. This role involves supporting school-based staff and potentially assisting at the clinic. Interns will be responsible for assessment, case coordination, and providing individual, group, and family counseling under the supervision of experienced professionals. The position emphasizes delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Enrollment in a Master’s level counseling program such as Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work.
• Participation in new hire orientation.
• Begin internship weekly as soon as possible and according to program requirements.
• Commitment to spending a certain number of hours each week with Centerstone.
• Will have a caseload with Centerstone at a time throughout the school year.
• Will attend and lead (plan, look up resources and activities, write group notes) at least 1 group consistently throughout the school year.
• Consistently keep up with 24-hour documentation standards.
• Attend required supervision through Centerstone each week as well as participation in required supervision through Master’s program.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, case coordination, individual, group, and family counseling to service recipients.
• Assist school-based staff and potentially help at the clinic.
• Shadow school-based staff to understand the expectations of a school-based therapist.
• Commit to spending a specified number of hours each week with Centerstone.
• Manage a caseload with Centerstone throughout the school year.
• Attend and lead at least one group consistently throughout the school year, including planning, resource lookup, activity development, and writing group notes.
• Maintain 24-hour documentation standards.
• Attend required supervision through Centerstone weekly and participate in required supervision through the Master's program.
