About The Position

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is seeking an experienced Master Fabricator-Winder for its West Plant facility in Lincoln, Nebraska. GD-OTS provides composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets and designs, develops, manufactures, and tests composite missile and space structures, including rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes, and fuel tanks.

The role involves preparing for and performing fabrication, assembly, and finishing of varied products using written or verbal instructions, drawings, techniques, tooling, materials, supplies, precision measuring devices, hand and power tools, and other work aids. The position is scheduled for an alternate 12-hour weekend B shift, from Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. to Monday morning at 7:00 a.m. Starting hourly pay is $29.22, with a $2.00 shift premium upon transfer to B shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use written processing and verbal instructions, drawings, techniques, tooling, materials, supplies, precision measuring devices, hand and power tools, and work aids for fabrication, assembly, and finishing.
• Ability to set up and change over equipment.
• Ability to perform minor maintenance duties.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of winding experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and perform fabrication, assembly, and finishing of varied products using instructions, drawings, techniques, tooling, materials, supplies, measuring devices, tools, and work aids.
• Set up and change over equipment.
• Perform minor maintenance duties.
• Move parts and materials to various locations.
• Maintain housekeeping in the general work area.
• Perform general housekeeping and janitorial duties throughout the plant.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
