Master Fabricator Machinist II - Alternate Weekend A Shift
About The Position
General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is seeking an experienced Master Fabricator Machinist to support its Lincoln, Nebraska organization. GD-OTS designs, develops, manufactures, and tests composite products for defense and commercial aerospace markets, including rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes, and fuel tanks. This position is located at the company’s Main Facility. The role involves fabricating, assembling, and finishing products using written processing instructions, verbal instructions, drawings, techniques, tooling, materials, supplies, precision measuring devices, hand tools, power tools, and other work aids. The machinist also performs equipment setup and changeover, minor maintenance, material movement, and housekeeping duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 2 years of machining experience.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and finish varied products using instructions, drawings, techniques, tooling, materials, supplies, precision measuring devices, hand tools, power tools, and other work aids.
- Perform equipment setup and changeover.
- Perform minor maintenance duties.
- Move parts and materials to various locations.
- Maintain housekeeping in the general work area.
- Perform general housekeeping and janitorial duties throughout the plant.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
