About The Position

The Master Data Specialist is embedded in distribution centers to provide on-hand support and ensure the accuracy and optimization of the Extended Warehouse Management System (EWM) data. The role creates and maintains systemic locations, put-away logic, pick paths, picking queues, and more than 40 additional master data tables that control distribution center performance. Working with warehouse management and cross-functional teams, the specialist helps drive efficiency and continuous improvement by monitoring data, troubleshooting systemic issues, and improving distribution workflows.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or technical high school diploma.
• At least 5 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Strong organizational, detail-orientation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities accurately and efficiently.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 programs, including Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
• Proficiency in SAP ECC and EWM, with the ability and willingness to learn.
• Flexibility, urgency, and adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Confidence working as part of a team with diverse perspectives.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Access, and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of distribution center operations such as Shipping, Receiving, Returns, Inventory Control, Delivery, Customer Care, and Loss Prevention.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain EWM master data tables that support distribution center operations.
• Set up and maintain systemic locations, pick paths, put-away logic, and picking queues.
• Troubleshoot issues in distribution centers and delivery depots.
• Partner with distribution center leadership to adjust data tables for schedule changes, including holidays and extra shifts.
• Diagnose systemic and transactional trends to identify root causes and improve processes.
• Collaborate with warehouse management and cross-functional teams to support efficiency and continuous improvement.
